Ana de Altún is an aromatic white wine with fragrant notes of tropical fruits accompanied by herbal notes and hints of bakery. In the mouth it is tasty, glyceric and well balanced. A wine with a fruity character, with marked acidity and a long finish. Starting from absolute respect for a land that gives great wines, Bodegas Altún brings out the best of a unique environment in the Rioja Alavesa. Ana de Altún is made with two of the DOCa's star white varieties. Rioja, viura and malvasia. 15 small plots with slopes of up to 25% whose 30-60 year old vines are planted in calcareous clay soils and are cultivated in a traditional way. In the winery, ancient production methods and modern winemaking techniques are combined. First, the grapes are selected and destemmed and, after a brief cold maceration and gentle pressing, the must obtained ferments in French oak barrels at a controlled temperature for between 20 and 30 days. Finally, the wine remains on its lees for 3 months in tanks with weekly battonages. The result is Ana de Altún, an authentic village wine that wonderfully reflects the origin of the wine and that of its producers. A tribute to his mother Ana who has become a source of pride for the winery.
THE PLOT Tempranillo plot located 630 m. altitude in Laguardia, at the foot of of the Sierra de Cantabria, planted on a soil of marked character calcium and shallow. Sustainable and respectful viticulture is used with its surroundings under a climate of contrasts. ELABORATION We are mere transmitters, we try to respect the processes as much as possible natural fermentation, with a measured intervention, to create a authentic wine, reflecting the origin. We harvest in 11 kg boxes, vat by gravity, use indigenous yeasts, and we carry out malolactic fermentation spontaneously in French oak barrels. Aging: 8 months in barrels and 6 months in concrete vats. TASTING Cherry red in color, clean and bright. Very expressive on the nose, mainly red fruits with subtle fruits black, floral memories. Fine entry into the mouth, with polished, oily and unctuous tannins. In the aftertaste You show its freshest and most vibrant character, characteristic of the plot.

Its elegance stands out, within its powerful structure and power. THE PLOT Graciano plot at 450 m. of altitude located in Baños de Ebro, with N-SW orientation, and embedded by Mount San Quiles. Constituted land by an alternation of sands, calcareous sandstones and clays of different tones yellowish or ocher (ferrous hydroxides and oxides). Soil with a regime xeric climate, moderately deep, well drained and generally poor, of contained performance. It has a slope of 20%, which together with its orientation, make it idyllic for the Graciano variety.
